Enhancing learner support, equity and belonging through evidence and insight
The student experience is shaped by the alignment of people, systems and environments. When institutions understand this connection, they can create support structures that foster equity, wellbeing and genuine belonging.
My specialisation in student experience is informed by more than 15 years working in universities across roles in student services, equity, wellbeing, capability and organisational development. My PhD research explored the holistic online student experience, giving me a strong understanding of how learners engage with complex systems, supports and environments.
I have particular insight into the factors that influence belonging, engagement, wellbeing and success for a diverse range of students — including those facing structural, social or personal barriers.
My work in this space draws together research, experience and a nuanced understanding of higher education systems. This includes the interplay between student services, academic environments, policy structures and the lived experience of learners.
